Three pieces of chrome tourmaline rough from Tanzania, 4.38 grams total weight. Chrome tourmaline gets its color from chromium, the same element responsible for the green in tsavorite and emerald, and the Tanzanian material produces some of the most saturated greens in the tourmaline family.
All three are clean with good transparency. The lot shows a natural color spread across the three pieces — the smallest reads a bright yellow-green, the mid-size a medium pure green, and the large piece carries the best color of the three, a deep saturated chrome green with real intensity.
