Four pieces of Mahenge spinel rough from Tanzania, 2.20 grams total weight. This lot shows the color range that makes Mahenge material interesting — not a matched set, but a genuine cross-section of what this deposit produces.
Three of the four are in the lavender to soft pink range with a milky character — lower saturation and transparency, but the color is genuine Mahenge and all three are strongly fluorescent under UV. The fourth is the standout — a vivid hot pink with good transparency, distinctly more saturated than the other three and a different animal entirely in terms of color intensity.
