Windy Mountain Jasper from Nevada, 428 grams, 7.3 millimeters thick
Excellent very large size slice of a new dig to me rock: Windy Mountain Jasper. A brecciated look on this variant with black breccia but a fill of pinkish quartz pseudomorph of onyx so it’s hard and translucent. Beautiful blacks, pinks, golds and creams. Mostly problem free just a few short cracks and thin short fissures. Smooth hard and excellent quality for cutting.
